Kenneth Berner

After Mr. Berner took a bachelor’s degree (BSME) in mechanical engineering from Union College and a master’s degree in business administration (MBA) from Butler University, he graduated from Indiana University as an honor student and earned a Juris Doctor degree (JD). Prior to entering the legal profession, he worked for nearly ten years as an engineer at a company and is a registered Professional Engineer in Indiana. Also, he is the author of several articles related to patent law.

Furthermore, Mr. Berner has been admitted to practice for the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit and the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, and has acceded to the American Bar Association and the American Intellectual Property Law Association and has been practicing in Virginia.

He practices in the fields of patent applications and prosecutions, and has huge experiences in computer software technology. Especially, he is specialized in a relational database and an object-oriented programming, and is skilled in telecommunications (wireless TDMA device, analog and digital signal processing technologies, technologies used in wireless system and the like) and sophisticated mechanical fields as a specialized field.

In the patent practice, he has a special skill for continuation applications and has successfully obtained many patents. He keeps a close communication with foreign associates for patent protections of his clients in Europe, Germany, Japan, and worldwide while working hard everyday.
